Royal Canin Lanyard

This lanyard is swag from "Royal Canin," a dog food company.

It's got a thick strap with the logo printed on it. Connected to the end is a mini fuchsia sharpie. The cap of the sharpie is connected to a small eyelet which is on a keyring-style circle at the end of the lanyard. If you wanted to use the lanyard for keys or a badge or something, you'd be able to take off the pen. I would have found this very useful when I was producing plays. I kept a sharpie in my pocket and used it constantly. It's a great way to not lose a pen, since you always want to cap a sharpie, and the cap is not easily removable from the lanyard.

Unlike many lanyards, there is no hook, so it would be difficult to get a badge on it unless the badge had its own hook.

The strap is red and comfortable. The logo is a bit ink-intensive, and might feel sweaty if you get hot. It's printed on both sides, which means you have to have some logo on your skin at all times. If you're wearing a collared shirt, you can put the lanyard under the collar to avoid this.

Like many lanyards, it reaches my belly button. I don't like the feeling of things on my belly button all day, so when I wear lanyards like this under my shirt I make sure to wear an undershirt too.

I can't tell by looking at the lanyard who produced it.

Overall, an interesting lanyard that serves an unusual but valuable purpose.

Nvidia Quadro Fermi Lanyard by SnugZ USA

This lanyard is swag I picked up at a conference. If you're going to put your company's name on a give-away product, I think the product should be pretty good.

This is an excellent lanyard.

The strap is made of a slightly stretchy material, which is fun to play with and pull on. It's soft and doesn't irritate the skin. It's black, which goes with everything. The logo is printed on only one side of the strap, which means you can wear it with the logo facing your skin so that it's not visible. Considering that the logo is primarily intended for the wearer, and not people looking at him or her, this is a wise choice.

The badge holder is a clip. It feels solid. It's painted black metal, which might be a little bit uncomfortably cool on the skin. The ring holding the clip does not rotate, which I think is wise. You can wear this lanyard with your badge facing out and not have to worry about it flipping over.

Overall, an excellent lanyard. 4/5 stars.
